COLOMBIA - Aponte Honey - Medium Roast

This honey processed coffee comes from an indigenous group in a nearby region called Aponte, just east of Buesaco town. Aponte is located in a misty paramó region around 1900 meters above sea level and the farmers in this growing region produce mainly Caturra and Variedad Colombia.

After drinking this coffee all day, I found I had Savage Garden stuck in my head - I just couldn't stop thinking that this coffee is indeed sweet like chica-cherry cola. A flavor note of cooked-cherry peeks through base flavors of molasses cookie, and chocolate roast notes, adding depth to the cup profile. An array of fruited accents such as date, fig and berry fruit leather are wrapped around a core of toasted cocoa and molasses.
