Coffee & Fundraising

Proxy had been in the works for a few years before we got started, and to be honest, it would probably have spent another few years as a twinkle in our eyes... but In the summer of 2020, many of our friends started using their businesses and passion projects to raise money and awareness for anti racist groups, inspiring us to put our plans for Proxy in motion so we could start raising money.

We set aside the first 3 months to raise money for the cause, donating all profits in equal parts to the ACLU, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and The Okra Project. Over this time, we received a tremendous amount of support and have since continued to raise money for other groups.

For June (and into July) we donated half of all our profits to groups supporting queer causes.

After the devastating news about Texas' draconian abortion ban, we decided to spend September, raising money to help groups providing access to abortion.
